Effect of Triethanolamine and Triisopropanolamine on the Hydration Process of Slag Cement

Triethanolamine and triisopropanolamine were used as grinding aids for slag cement. By measuring the granular properties, setting time, mortar strength, and chemically combined water content of cement, different amounts of grinding aids were used to investigate the hydration process of slag cement. Influences, and the use of x-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy analysis of the slag cement hydration product phase composition and microstructure. The results show that both grinding aids can significantly increase the hydration rate of slag cement, make more hydration products in the cement slurry, and form a more compact structure. The effect of triisopropanolamine on slag cement is excellent. In triethanolamine.
