Effect of Triisopropanolamine Addition on Cement Strength

Publish Time: 2020-01-10     Origin: Site

Triisopropanolamine  is an amine separated from rectification after addition reaction of ammonia and propylene oxide. It can be widely used in daily chemical industry, fine chemical industry, petrochemical industry, etc. It is an important amine compound. TIPA is the core raw material of cement grinding aid, and it is also the main organic reinforcer of cement concrete.

As a cement grinding aid and an early strength agent for concrete, it is generally believed that TIPA can significantly improve the 28-day compressive strength of cement mortar.

(1) The strengthening effect of TIPA  on cement soil is obviously related to soil quality. Triisopropanolamine does not have early strengthening and strengthening effects on all soils.

(2) The addition of TIPA in some soils will cause the early strength of cement soil to decrease significantly.

(3) When using TIPA as an early strength agent, a laboratory laboratory test must be performed to determine its effectiveness.
