With low molecular weight (n=1000~4000) of PEG solution dipping wood, make lumber fully swelling. After drying, PEG with waxy retained in the cell wall, make the cell wall in the expansion state, thus improve the wood dimensional stability.

For example, the ASE reaches 60% after the wood 7d is treated with PEG by impregnation method. The treated wood not only increases the wear resistance and toughness, but also has anti-corrosion and flame retardant effect.
