The types of surfactants are:

1. Anionic surfactant

The most common such active agents are sodium linear alkyl benzene sulfonate and sodium α-alkenyl sulfonate. Straight chain alkyl benzene sulfonate, LAS or ABS, is a white or light yellow powder or sheet solid, soluble in water, although at lower temperatures, poor water solubility in water at room temperature is less than 3, but in the compound surfactant system solubility is very good.

2, high-grade fatty alcohol sulfate

Strong emulsification, and more stable, more acid and calcium, magnesium salt resistance. In pharmacy, it can accumulate with some polymer cationic drugs, which has a certain effect on mucous membranes, and is used as an emulsifier for external ointment, and is also used for wetting or solubilizing solid preparations such as tablets. When the cream is applied to the skin, these micelles break (break milk) and release the oil particles inside. These oil particles form a thin film on the skin to protect the skin from moisture loss, and of course the active ingredients are absorbed by the skin.

3. Sulfonates

Synthetic detergents are one of the most expensive markets for surfactants, including laundry powders, liquid detergents, dishwashing detergents and a variety of household cleaning products and personal maintenance supplies such as shampoo, conditioner, hair lotion, hair gel, moisturizing lotion, toner and facial cleanser. Industrial surfactants are the sum of surfactants used in various industrial fields other than civilian surfactants, including textile industry, metal industry, coatings, paints, pigment industry, food industry, paper industry, plastic resin industry, leather industry, petroleum exploration, building materials industry, mining industry, energy industry, etc. The following aspects are described.

4. Non-ionic surfactants

The solubility in water is because the molecule has a strong hydrophilic functional group, non-ionic surfactants in number is second only to anionic surfactants, is the first type of many applications, with the development of the petroleum industry, the cost of the used material ethylene oxide continues to decrease, its output value will continue to increase.
