Triisopropanolamine(TIPA) and Triethanolamine(TEA) Similarities and Differences

Similarities:

In cement &concrete field. They are also widly used in cement and concrete grinding aid ,but Triethanolamine(TEA) improve early strength ,the Triisopropanolamine(TIPA) improve later strength .

TEA not only can prevent silt crush process of aggregation and cushion effect ,improve the liquidity and packing density of cement ,but also can reduce the power consumption of grinding machine.

Differences:

TIPA also used in fiber industry to be the refining agent , temperature agent,antistatic agent and dyeing auxiliaries.

TIPA is used in metal industry do the antioxidants and cutting coolant.

TIPA is used as crosslinking agent and starting agent in polyurethane industry.

TEA is found in skincare and cosmetic products like moisturizers,eyeliners,mascaras,hair care and sunscreens.Have emulsifier , humidifying agent ,thickening agent ,PH neutralizing agent functions.

TEA as an efficient chelating agent in a variety of heavy metals .

TEA as gas chromatographic stationary liquid.
