Polyethylene glycol PEG is a polymer prepared by stepwise addition reaction of ethylene oxide with water or ethylene glycol as raw material. 

It is a white paraffin-like flake or powder solid, odorless or with weak odor. It is non-toxic, non-irritating, has good water solubility, 

and has good compatibility with many organic components.
