They called the name because their carbon chain have different carbon numbers,it called peregal have 12 to 18 carbon,it called AEO have 12,it called JFC have 7 to 9 carbon.

They are both one of non-ionic surfactant

Because of non-ionic surfactant not ionize in the aqueous solution,it is more stable than ionic surfactant,it is not easy to be effected by the acid and alkali,could mixture use with other surfactant,good solubleness in any solvent,strong adsorbtion does not occour on solid surfaces.

They are easy soluble in water,good performance with cold washing,and leveling agent.
