Uses: 

Triisobutyl phosphate is a strong solvent for liquefied concrete, textile auxiliaries and paper coating compounds.

Triisobutyl phosphate (TIBP) is a strong polar solvent. It is mainly used as defoaming agent in various water systems. 

In aqueous solution, it can not only defroster but also inhibit the formation of foam. 

TiBP is also used in the production of synthetic resins and natural rubber solutions. 

In cellulose-based plastics and synthetic resin materials, it is used as flame retardant plasticizer. 

TiBP is also used as an adhesive for pigment paste. 

Because temperature has limited influence on the viscosity of TiBP, it is also an important component of aircraft hydraulic oil production. 

As a very powerful wetting agent, TiBP has also been applied in textile industry and adhesives.

TIBP can be used together with TIPA.
