Tween 80 character application

Tween 80 chemical name is polyoxyethylene dehydrated sorbitan monooleate, 

referred to as polysorbate-80, is an organic compound, chemical formula C24H44O6(C2H4O)n. 

Soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, vegetable oil, ethyl acetate, methanol, toluene, insoluble in mineral oil. 

Gelatinized at low temperature and recovered after heat. Very smelly, slightly bitter taste. 

Often used as a surfactant.

Properties: T80 soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, vegetable oil, ethyl acetate, methanol, toluene, 

insoluble in mineral oil.

1. Tween 80 is used as emulsifier, dispersant, wetting agent, solvent enhancer, stabilizer, used in pesticide, cosmetics, and other industries.

   
   

2. Tween 80 is used as a stabilizer and foaming aid in the production of polyurethane foam; 

It can be used as antistatic agent in synthetic fiber, and is the intermediate of chemical fiber oil agent. 

Used as wetting agent and dispersant in motion picture film made of photographic materials; 

In the process of fabric waterproofing by emulsifying silicone oil, has a good effect, 

also used in nylon and viscose cord as oil and water soluble emulsifier, often mixed with S-80.

3. Tween 80 is used as oilfield emulsifier, anti-wax agent, heavy oil wetting agent, resistance reducing agent, 

and near-well area treatment agent; Used for precision machine tools to modulate lubricating coolant and so on.
